Membership costs just £20 for a whole year; payment is due in January of each year and can be paid in cash at a meeting or via bank transfer. Membership fees pay for the hire of the venue for meetings and all administrative costs of the Birmingham (UK) Branch; it does not include membership of the International Plastic Modellers’ Society, details of which can be found on the IPMS Website. Membership of IPMS is not a requirement to join the Birmingham Branch, but it is recommended if you wish to attend Scale ModelWorld, the national UK show for traders and modellers from across the country and around the world!

Junior members (aged 18 and under) are free of charge. We invite all potential new members to attend 3 meetings free of charge to get a taste of who we are and what we do before committing to paid membership.

Membership gets you free admission to all club meetings, with complimentary tea and coffee. You can enter models on the monthly competition table – please see our Competition Page for more information on this – and you can cast your vote for the winning entries. You can contribute articles to our newsletter and website. You can attend any local shows or events for free as part of a set up and display team for our branch, and you can vote for the committee at our Annual General Meeting in November each year – or even volunteer for a vacant committee post, if you are so inclined!
